This week I was able to select a action research question and research the problem statement to begin drafting my action research plan. I used the template from Examining What We Do To Improve Our Schools: 8 Steps From Analysis to Action by Sandra Harris et al. Tool 7.1 Action Planning Template.
The purpose of this research project is to investigate how does technology impact student performance? What affects does technology aid in enhancing teacher's instruction?
Significance: Technology has been shown to assist the needs of ALL Learners. Our students are considered digital natives and use technology on a daily basis. How will using technology keep students engaged to postively impact instruction?

I think this is an interesting study especially if done over a long period of time. It would be very valuable to have real data on the effects web 2.0 tools have on school improvement. I would love to see your results. I think you could do a short term evaluation after a school year and then continue to monitor to see after 3 and 5 years how much growth has taken place.
